Young Catholics Invited to Ignite Their Faith at Youth Rallies

WEST VIRGINIA — Middle and high school teens are invited to join in an exciting day of laughter, singing, learning, prayer, playing, and more with 200 other teens at the Ignite Your Faith Youth Rally and Confirmation Gathering.
This year, Catholic speaker Lisa Cotter will share her witness of Jesus Christ in her life and how all can navigate the ups and downs of every day relationships. Lisa is also an author, and podcaster on the topics of relationships, femininity, and living life with excellence. She and her husband, Kevin, have served FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) as a family. Lisa and Kevin are the co-authors of “Dating Detox: 40 Days of Perfecting Love in an Imperfect World”. Lisa is the founder of Made to Magnify, a ministry with a mission to help people become saints — because it’s worth it. “We will also have the chance to celebrate Sacred Liturgy with Bishop Mark Brennan to close out our day,” event organizers said.
The day is open to any 6th-12th grader. Parishes are invited to bring their confirmation or religious education class, and youth groups. Those interested are encouraged to sign up early, because space is limited.
Registration for the day opens at 8:30 a.m., and the event will begin at 9 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. and the day will end at 4 p.m. Parents and others are welcome for Mass. Cost is $25 per student, $15 per chaperone and includes lunch and all activities for the day. The dates are Feb. 23 at Central Catholic High School in Wheeling, and March 29 at the Basilica of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Charleston. Capacity is 200 people. Reservations are taken first come, first served. Register online atwww.youngwv catholics.com. For more information, call Heather Bise at (888) 434-6237.
